Together with the Bronx, Brooklyn was one of only two boroughs in New York City that registered an increase (4%) in the number of new scheduled foreclosure auctions in the second quarter of 2010 compared to the same quarter in 2009.

However, the number of properties scheduled for foreclosure auctions for the first time was down 34% compared to the first quarter of 2010.
