Appraised Values

Establishing the appraised value of a property represents the first step towards determining it's taxable value. The Denton Central Appraisal District determines the appraised values for all taxable real property in the county. Properties are reappraised at least once every three years, but they can be reappraised as often as every year if the market is active in that area. Appraisal value is calculated by using the Agricultural and Timber Use Value insted of the agriculture market value from the property's market value.
