After being crowned NYC\u2019s best selling building 2 years in a row, the time has come for Williamsburg\u2019s The Edge<\/a> to leave its top spot. Q1 2013 brought a new wave of buildings into PropertyShark\u2019s top 10 list of buildings with most units sold, half of them having median sale prices over $1 million.<\/p>\n

Upper East Side, which hasn\u2019t been part of the list for a while, is back, with 2 buildings making it into the top 10.\u00a0 Comparing median sale prices for units sold this quarter over the entire last year<\/a>, one can see that, in general, folks were more willing to pay more money for an apartment in Q1 2013.<\/p>\n

With no further ado, here is how the top 10 looks like:<\/p>\n

250 West Street, Manhattan, NY<\/p><\/div>\n

#1. 250 West Street<\/a><\/strong>
\n250 West Street, in the heart of Tribeca\u2019s historic district, leads the Q1 2013 top 10. It sold the most units, 48, and at the largest median sale price, $2,823,098. First built in 1906, as a warehouse, the 11-story building was converted into apartments<\/a>, and now features over 100 luxury units.<\/p>\n

#2. Sky View Parc<\/a><\/strong>
\nFlushing\u2019s Sky View Parc was ranked 8th last year. It now occupies second place, having sold 43 units in the first quarter of 2013, with a median sale price of $660,000. The final tower at the three-tower Sky View Park complex has hit the market this February<\/a>, offering 134 units over 11 floors, including 22 penthouses.<\/p>\n

#3. 225 Rector Place<\/a><\/strong>
\n225 Rector Place is our bronze medalist, with 39 units sold in the first three months of the year and a median sale price of $661,863. The 24-story Battery Park City building needed just seven months to sell half of its 200 condominiums<\/a>. The sale of the 225 Rector Place\u2019s 100th unit was announced this January.<\/p>\n
