The\u00a0new record may come at no\u00a0surprise for those who have been keeping an eye on the borough\u2019s real estate market trends for\u00a0the last couple of years.\u00a0What\u2019s noteworthy, however, is that the year-over-year increase in Brooklyn home prices is the most significant in the last few years, creating\u00a0high expectations from the borough\u2019s\u00a0real estate market for the\u00a0year just starting.<\/p>\n<p>One of the things which may be driving\u00a0the price increase is the <strong>low inventory in Brooklyn. These two saw some of the biggest home price increases in 2015 among all Brooklyn neighborhoods \u2014 34% and 32% respectively.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.propertyshark.com\/Real-Estate-Reports\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/98\/2016\/01\/Brooklyn-neighborhoods-1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter
