2015 was yet another busy year for New York City real estate and we turned to our database for the top 20 most expensive single-family sales. All but one were in Manhattan. The single exception was a $15.5M sale in Cobble Hill, Brooklyn.<\/p>\n

The plan appears to be to combine 11, 13, and 15 East 75th<\/sup> St. to create a \u2018megamansion\u2019, spanning over 18,000 square feet.<\/p>\n Improvements could cost in excess of $6M, creating one of the biggest homes in NYC<\/a>.<\/p>\n Sale Price: $25,000,000<\/strong><\/p>\n Historic elegance meets modern luxury in this magnificent NYC masterpiece. Directly on Central Park, the royalty worthy William Noble House<\/a> opens up to 6 floors of sleek modern living, including a 60 foot pool, and sports both a roof terrace and a Zen garden.<\/p>\n Previous owners include Walt Disney\u2019s grandniece and Coach CEO Keith Monda.<\/p>\n Sale Price: $25,000,000<\/strong><\/p>\n Robert Murdoch purchased this former B&B, and almost relisted it for sale<\/a>.<\/p>\n Some see Murdoch on a NY house flipping<\/a> spree, which could put as much as $1M a month in his pocket.<\/p>\n Sale Price: $22,300,000<\/strong><\/p>\n Debates are swirling over who is really the beneficiary of this high profile transaction. The NY Times reports on speculations that it has the \u2018signature\u2019 of Mark Zuckerberg<\/a>. Others pose it could be another original Facebook co-founder, or even Mark\u2019s sister Randi Zuckerberg.<\/p>\n Sale Price: $20,000,000<\/strong><\/p>\n West 10th<\/sup> Street has a famous past, and is known for being home to several writers including Edgar Allen Poe.<\/p>\n Having been beautifully renovated, this 6 bedroom NYC townhouse now boasts a chef\u2019s kitchen, sauna, and meditation area.<\/p>\n Sale Price: $19,850,000<\/strong><\/p>\n Built in the late 1800s and nestled amongst several historic landmark buildings, this magnificent Carnegie Hill home is a dream come true.<\/p>\n Records show the building has a total square footage of 7,450 and the new owner paid over $2,600 per sqft.<\/p>\n Sale Price: $19,250,000<\/strong><\/p>\n Built in 1920, this Greek Revival home has a classic brick front and its own courtyard.
