The Hamptons real estate market has been slowing down lately, according to the luxury homes still sold for higher prices than a year ago, in Q3 2015. Sales closed at a slower pace in 2016, but for some former owners, the money they got was well worth the wait.\u00a0Take a look at the list below to see just how pricey a Hamptons estate is these days.<\/p>\n

First prize goes to a beautiful, and very private, shingle-style mansion in East Hampton, on Lily Pond Lane. This stretch of beach-front heaven was particularly popular with deep-pocketed buyers this year, and this particular property at number 199 was purchased by entertainment mogul David Geffen from the estate of the late Josephine Chause.<\/p>\n

Another two of the priciest homes on our list, 93 and 101 Lily Pond Lane in East Hampton, were part of a three-estate deal for the total\u00a0of $110 million, the second largest sale<\/a> ever recorded\u00a0in the Hamptons. The other lot\u00a0included in the deal is adjacent to both properties, but has no residential construction on it. Nonetheless, its share of the deal was worth $24 million.<\/p>\n

The Hamptons “White House” at 315 Rose Hill Road finally found a\u00a0new owner, after previous owner Andrew Borrok put it on the market\u00a0back in 2010<\/a>. The final deal\u00a0was closed for less than half of the initial listing price of $58.5 million, but still ranked 7th on our list.<\/p>\n
