Welcome news for potential buyers, as available stock in the state is tight \u2013 Southern Nevada currently has <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lasvegasrealtor.com\/southern-nevada-home-prices-keep-moving-on-up-glvar-housing-statistics-for-february-2017\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">less than three months<\/a> of housing supply.<\/p>\n<p>Although inventory remains tight in the Silver State and sale prices remain below historic heights, Nevada\u2019s residential real estate market is continuously improving. The Las Vegas-Henderson-Paradise metro area is predicted to be the 35<sup>th<\/sup> best housing market nationally in 2017, with prices expected to expand by over 5 percent, per Nevada Business magazine. Distressed sales in the state have also declined, with the Greater Las Vegas Area ending 2016 with bank-owned and short sales making up 11.6 percent of total sales \u2013 a decrease compared to the year ago number of 13.7, per the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lasvegasrealtor.com\/southern-nevada-home-sales-rose-in-2016-including-during-december-glvar-housing-statistics-for-december-2016\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Greater Las Vegas Association of REALTORS<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>While Nevada homes remain significantly more affordable than their counterparts in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.propertyshark.com\/Real-Estate-Reports\/2017\/03\/16\/most-expensive-zip-codes-in-connecticut-in-2016\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Connecticut<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.propertyshark.com\/Real-Estate-Reports\/2017\/02\/23\/expensive-zip-codes-massachusetts-2016\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Massachusetts<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.propertyshark.com\/Real-Estate-Reports\/2017\/03\/22\/expensive-zip-codes-upstate-new-york-2016\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Upstate New York<\/a>, the Silver State still boasts some rather pricey real estate. Centered\u00a0on the playground of the rich and famous Lake Tahoe, the small affluent enclaves of Glenbrook, Zephyr Cove and Incline Village took the podium in the battle for most expensive zip codes in Nevada.<\/p>\n<p>Nestled on the eastern shore of Lake Tahoe, Glenbrook\u2019s 89413 grabbed the title of <strong>most expensive zip code in Nevada<\/strong> with a median sale price of $1,574,887. The tiny enclave of just <a href=\"https:\/\/factfinder.census.gov\/faces\/tableservices\/jsf\/pages\/productview.xhtml?src=bkmk\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">215 residents<\/a> also made it big countrywide, becoming the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.propertyshark.com\/Real-Estate-Reports\/2016\/12\/19\/most-expensive-zip-codes-in-the-u-s-in-2016\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">56<sup>th<\/sup> most expensive zip code nationally<\/a>. It\u2019s no surprise that former Oracle CEO Larry Ellison, considered one of the top ten wealthiest people in the world, called Glenbrook home not too long ago.<\/p>\n<p>Nevada\u2019s <strong>2<sup>nd<\/sup> most expensive zip code<\/strong> in 2016 was Zephyr Cove\u2019s 89448. The small Lake Tahoe community boasts a median sale price of $725,000. Like most Lake Tahoe communities, Zephyr Cove has endless entertainment options to enjoy the clear waters of the lake from taking a trip on a paddle-wheeler to angling and jet-skiing. But it\u2019s not just fun in the sun here \u2013 snow bunnies can also enjoy a variety of winter sports, including 45 miles of snowmobile trails.<\/p>\n<p>As for Nevada\u2019s <strong>3<sup>rd<\/sup> priciest zip code<\/strong>, 89451 of Incline Village grabbed this title. The property comes with some truly magical amenities, like a resort-style infinity pool, full-service spa, three antique arcade rooms and an over 6,000-square-foot garage complete with detailing
