This year, the most expensive homes sold in L.A. County didn\u2019t manage to surpass the record\u00a0$100 million<\/a>\u00a0price tag fetched by the iconic Playboy Mansion in 2016. However, that doesn\u2019t mean that some luxury homes didn\u2019t trade for dazzling amounts in 2017.<\/p>\n

The first property on our list sold for $88,000,000<\/strong> and is, according to Curbed LA<\/a>, home to none other than pop culture idols Beyonc\u00e9 and Jay-Z. The power couple closed the deal on the massive 82,050-square-foot home at 454 Cuesta Way<\/a>\u00a0in August. The impressive mansion comprises six structures, complete with a 15-car garage, four swimming pools, and a helipad.<\/p>\n

The second most expensive sale on our list was that of\u00a0David Geffen\u2019s Carbon Beach compound, which changed hands in May for $85,000,000.<\/strong>\u00a0The Malibu beachfront home at 22108 Pacific Coast Highway<\/a>\u00a0spreads across 22,967 square feet, and has its own theater, gym, and swimming pool with spa.<\/p>\n

A\u00a0legendary old-Hollywood<\/a>\u00a0estate also made it into the top 10 this year. Famous for hosting lavish parties, the home belonged to former Hollywood socialite Edie Goetz,\u00a0and sold in March for $40,800,000, landing the sixth spot on our list.<\/p>\n
