The commercial condo unit was owned by Abs Partners Real Estate LLC, who bought it for $5,350,000 in 2006. According to our records, N.Y.U was already a tenant of the 3rd floor space.<\/p>\n<p>This is the third largest property bought by N.Y.U. this year, after they made news in January by buying the <a href=\"http:\/\/propertyshark.com\/mason\/Reports2\/showsection.html?propkey=7680\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Forbes building<\/a> for $65 million and a 190,000 square foot building at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.propertyshark.com\/mason\/Property\/921916\/120-E-12-St-New-York-NY-10003\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">120 East 12 Street<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Another two apartments made up the list of properties acquired by New York University (through its Law School) so far this year: an apartment at <a href=\"http:\/\/propertyshark.com\/mason\/Reports2\/showsection.html?propkey=52526501\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">122 Greenwich Avenue<\/a> bought for $3.9 million and a second\u00a0 apartment at <a href=\"http:\/\/propertyshark.com\/mason\/Reports2\/showsection.html?propkey=689038\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">222 Riverside Drive<\/a> bought for $3.1 million.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>New York University has bought the third floor at the Silk Building for $9,914,314, according to city records published yesterday.
