SL Green has recently announced that The Carlyle Group expanded its 15-year lease at One Vanderbilt, planning to take over an additional 32,592 square feet of Midtown Manhattan office space<\/a> here. The deal brings The Carlyle Group\u2019s total square footage at the building, currently under construction, to 127,744.<\/p>\n

The new 1,401-foot office tower branded One Vanderbilt<\/a> is expected to open in 2020 and will feature floor-to-ceiling windows, column-free floor plates, and stunning 360-degree views. It will also offer its new tenants an exclusive 30,000-square-foot amenity floor with meeting spaces, a lounge and an outdoor terrace.<\/p>\n

Conveniently located next to the Grand Central Terminal, One Vanderbilt has already attracted tenants such as TD Securities and TD Bank, Greenberg Traurig, and law firm McDermott Will & Emery. The Carlyle Group will occupy the 35th through 38th floors in the building, which is now 54 percent leased.<\/p>\n

\u201cGlobal business leaders like The Carlyle Group see the advantage of One Vanderbilt\u2019s world-class tenant and amenity experience, state-of-the-art office design and direct access to public transportation, all attributes that make East Midtown the center of commerce in New York,\u201d said Marc Holliday, Chief Executive Officer of SL Green.<\/p>\n
