The 7 Subway stops in Hunters Point as its first spot. In total, it takes just over five minutes to get from Grand Central Station to the Hunters Point subway stop. Those looking to go to Brooklyn can hop on the G train and the E and V lines can be boarded at Court Square. There's also limited service for the Long Island Railroad at Borden Avenue and 2nd Street. The Midtown Tunnel opens up into this neighborhood, and offers easy access to Manhattan via the Long Island Expressway. Finally, there's a New York Water Taxi connecting Hunters Point to Wall Street.

Schools

As of 2016, a new elementary school was set to be built in Hunters Point, and would offer space for as many as 600 students. Until that school is complete, the only school options within the neighborhood are private schools like St. Francis Assisi School. However, there are more than a dozen schools in nearby Long Island City.

Health

Though Hunters Point doesn't have its own hospital, there are many doctor's offices, private practices, and alternative health facilities in this neighborhood. The closest hospitals are The NYC Health + Hospitals Bellevue in Kips Bay and The Floating Hospital in Long Island City.
