It was the second of six such shelters bankrolled by Selfhelp Community Services that had been aiding refugees from Nazi Germany settle in the United States. Designed by Gruzen & Partners, the brick tower features 290 apartments, some with balconies, and gated parking. The Benjamin Rosenthal-Prince Street Senior Center is also found here.
