Building Description

The Highpoint at 250 East 40th Street on the corner of Second Avenue joined the platoon of residential towers in Murray Hill in 1988. Wechsler, Grasso, Menziuso P.C., the legacy architectural firm of Max Wechsler, drew up the plans for the eye-catching 48-story apartment building. The Highpoint draws attention with white stone framed corner windows and a bevy of balconies, with only six units on every floor.

An outdoor plaza complete with waterfall hints at the luxuriously-appointed indoor space. The lobby has been updated and features windowed hallways and the fitness and wellness center is outfitted with a steam room, sauna, yoga studio, hot tubs, a 40-foot swimming pool, and a fully-equipped cardio studio. A doorman works the premises 24 hours a day, with concierge service also available in the pet-friendly building. Grand Central Terminal and all major public transportation systems are just a short walk from 250 East 40 Street.
