Building Description

The Century is a 33-story, 426-unit residential co-op built in 1932. It is one of four twin-towered apartment buildings that call Central Park West. It was built by Irwin Chanin, who also designed multiple Broadway theaters, including the Majestic. It was initially called the Century Apartments because it was built on the original site of the Century Theatre. It was converted to condominiums in 1989.

Cats and dogs are allowed and the building features an elevator and a full-time doorman. Other amenities include a concierge service, a bike room, available laundry and parking. The nearest public transportation spot is the 66th St. subway station, located just under a quarter of a mile away. The nearest public school is PS 191, located 0.4 miles away. 25 Central Park West is in an ideal spot for families and those on an educational slant. The New York Institute of Technology is located two blocks south, the New York Public Library is four blocks west, and the Lincoln Center for Performing Arts and Met Opera are both a short distance away as well.
