Building Description

The Beresford persisted through the misfortune of having been built in the year of the great stock market crash and is now one of the more exclusive addresses in a city full of such claims, standing 20 stories tall, boasting 600,613 square feet, and containing 193 residential units. Instantly recognizable with its three brilliantly illuminated towers, three entrances, and the pair of main facades, it made the transition from hotel to co-op in 1962. White gloves are the choice every day for its elevator workers and doormen, while amenities include a sprawling fitness center, laundry rooms, a health club and a private courtyard.

Living at the Beresford is a culture lover's dream. It's across the street from Central Park - notably the Diana Ross playground - on one side and the Museum of Natural History on the other, with the American Museum of Natural History and the New York Historical Society just a few steps further south on Central Park West. Zoned PS 087 is located three blocks away and the A, B and C lines are steps away.
