Building Description

Architects Gruzen Samton Steinglass and Abraham Rothenberg gave their slender 40-story tower at 303 East 60 Street a bit of whimsy with a pitched red roof. Their Evans View apartment building was completed in 1987 with an abundance of balconies that serve up Lenox Hill views from its location at the entrance to the Queensborough Bridge. The pattern of balconies changes halfway into its climb to that red roof as the outdoor spaces angle for city views. All in all, the property comprises 157 units.

Common areas at 303 East 60 Street include a landscaped courtyard, community terrace, laundry room, and a fitness center complete with swimming pool. Evans View is a pet-friendly condominium and there is full-time doorman service. Lenox Hill is known for easy access to shopping and dining, and the Lexington Avenue subway can boarded down the block for the N, R, W, 4, 5, and 6 lines.
