Building Description

Is there any location in the world more synonymous with two simple words than The Plaza? Built in 1907, it inhabits the southeast corner across from Central Park and has been a part of the National Register of Historic Places since the late 1970s. Designed in the style of a French chateau by Henry Janeway Hardenbergh, it opened to the public at the cost of $2.50/night. It has been featured in numerous films as well as F. Scott Fitzgerald's 1925 classic novel The Great Gatsby. It offers both hotel rooms and condominiums.

There are three types of suites available for rent - Legacy Suites, Junior & One Bedroom Suites, and One of A Kind Suites - five custom-designed accommodations that range up to 4,500 square feet of space. There are 150 hotel units and 182 private residence condos with a separate entrance and a private garden. The Plaza is 19 stories tall and is in the heart of Manhattan's most well-known shopping district. The nearest neighborhood school, PS 35, is about half a mile away.
