Building Description

The Melbourne Tower at 98-38 57 Avenue was raised in 1965. Built from brown bricks, it was designed by Jack Brown and stands 144 feet high. The Melbourne tower is one of 20 apartment buildings in the LeFrak City community. The 16-story building houses 232 apartments, many in two- and three-bedroom configurations and with private terraces framing views of the surrounding Corona neighborhood. Outdoor amenities include gardens, playgrounds, and sports courts. An outdoor swimming pool is open to LeFrak City residents for a fee. Melbourne Tower is surrounded by neighborhood schools, shopping, and services. The M and R trains are about half a mile away at 63rd Road and Queens Boulevard.
