Architect Carl Galioto of Skidmore, Owings & Merrill used the Brooklyn skyline as his canvas for the Toren Condominium at 150 Myrtle Avenue. Built in 2010, the postmodern 38-story tower with alternating bands of dark and light windows has been alternately described as a Lego spaceship and an architectural barcode. Dubbed Toren, the eye-catching building totals 240 units, including 42 earmarked as affordable housing.

Amenities at 150 Myrtle Avenue include a multi-level roof garden with views across Brooklyn, a movie theater with an outdoor screening room, a wellness center conceived by Iowa Fitness, sauna, indoor swimming pool, and a library-cum-lounge with mirrored ceilings. Onsite parking occupies the 2nd and 3rd floors, and there's 24-hour doorman and concierge service. The pet-friendly tower also includes environmentally conscious features, like the property's very own eco-friendly power plant.
