Building Description

Located at 711 Seagirt Avenue, the 744,719-square-foot Sand Castle apartment community was raised on the sands of Reynolds Channel in Far Rockaway in 1974. There is minimal development around the ziggurat-shaped waterfront building, allowing for vast views of the Atlantic Ocean from private balconies. There is a small sandy beach and landscaping in the front and back of the apartment tower, and fishermen can drop a line from the breakwaters or end-of-the-street piers.
