The New York City Housing Authority raised the quartet of 10-, 18-, and 24-story apartment towers at 112 Christopher Avenue in 1968. Known as Glenmore Plaza, these Brownsville apartment buildings offer 438 units. The tower facades feature band courses of stone and a central paneled inset that yields balconies on the upper levels. Powell Playground, Houston Playground, Howard Playground, and McLeod's Community Garden are close by, and the Brownsville branch of the Brooklyn Public Library is just down the block.
