Building Description

Simon I. Schwartz and Arthur Gross were among the busiest architects in shaping Manhattan's Upper West Side in the early years of the 20th century. The 15-story Sabrina at 240 West 98th Street, designed in a classical style with high-quality limestone base in 1923, was one of their more imposing structures. After more than 80 years as upscale apartments, the Sabrina converted to condominiums in 2007. Some of the 167 units still have rooms initially intended for staff living quarters, and the spacious apartments have as many as five bedrooms. The staff at 240 West 98th Street includes a doorman, porters, and a live-in superintendent. Shared spaces include a laundry, bike room, and storage.

The pet-friendly Sabrina is two blocks from Riverside Park and a short stroll from Central Park. The residential tower is handy to all the shopping and dining conveniences of Broadway. Crosstown buses are nearby on 96th Street, and the 1, 2 and 3 subway lines are less than one-quarter mile away.
