Originally constructed in 1905, it was a riverfront factory by the same name by 1919. The current incarnation, completed in 2009, was designed by noted architect Robert A.M. Stern with interiors by Yabu Pushelberg. Stern incorporated his modern traditionalist style into recreating the building's early 20th century appeal with massive arched windows and yester-year orange brick exteriors. The building has been given a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification, which allows its residents true "green" living.
