Building Description

Perched on the west side of Manhattan with striking views of the Hudson River, Superior Ink is a condominium complex with 75 residential units - 68 apartments and seven townhouses - spread across 17 stories. Originally constructed in 1905, it was a riverfront factory by the same name by 1919. The current incarnation, completed in 2009, was designed by noted architect Robert A.M. Stern with interiors by Yabu Pushelberg. Stern incorporated his modern traditionalist style into recreating the building's early 20th century appeal with massive arched windows and yester-year orange brick exteriors. The building has been given a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification, which allows its residents true "green" living.

Amenities include a gym with attached yoga room, several private screening rooms, a children's play area, 24-hour concierge, and valet garage. The surrounding area is steeped in New York City history, with both the West Village and the historic Meatpacking District. Cultural destinations are never far from Superior Ink, no matter which direction you start off in. The Hudson River Greenway lies immediately across West Road, while the Whitney Museum of American Art is three blocks north. Restaurants and shopping options begin populating the landscape to the east. School options are close and plentiful, with PS 003 lying just one-third of a mile away and PS 041 half a mile from the building. Subway access is also about half a mile away on the red line.
