The Forbes Magazine Building was constructed in 1925 by Beaux Arts firm Carrere and Hastings, who also did the New York Public Library. The commercial building blends Roman classicism and Cubistic forms. Originally constructed for the Macmillan Company, it housed Forbes Magazine and Malcolm Forbes Gallery until 2014. New York University has since gained access to the facility and has transformed it into an academic center for programs and classrooms.
