Building Description

Century Tower was built in 1960 before balconies were in vogue, but as the 20-story red brick structure reaches its full height, setbacks create exciting views of surrounding Greenwich Village. Originally configured for apartments, 175 West 12th Street was converted to condominiums in 1988, joining a short list of owner-owned unit buildings in the neighborhood. In the process, common spaces received a modern makeover, including a sensitive renovation of the lobby. Full-time doormen and porters tend to the needs of residents.

Currently known as Century Tower, 175 West 12th Street comprises 214 units in studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom configurations. The Greenwich Village location provides easy access to famed for its boutiques shopping and adventurous dining. Attractions further away are easily reached from the express subway station at the entrance of 175 West 12th Street. Several stops for New York's armada of buses are also close by.
