Building Description
The Bowery Savings Bank building is 18 stories tall and was built in 1921. Designed by York and Sawyer in the Italian Romanesque Revival style, it was built to house the Bowery Savings Bank, hence the name. It now houses Cipriani restaurant and event space on the ground floor. It was named a New York City Landmark in 1986. This commercial/ retail building has six commercial units and is in the Murray Hill neighborhood in Midtown Manhattan. The building has 187,822 square feet of commercial space, 40,471 square feet of retail space and 12,534 square feet of garage space.
The subway is easily accessible with subway lines 4-5-6-6 Express-7-7 Express-S a mere 105 feet away. Entrance to the Queens Midtown Tunnel is a few blocks away.
