Building Description

Located in Turtle Bay, Manhattan, the Chrysler Building is used primarily as a commercial office space with a few retail establishments. It has some of the best views in NYC. This 68-story building was built in 1930 and maintained its designation as the world's tallest building for less than a year before the Empire State Building was completed. As of 2016, it's still the tallest brick building anywhere in the world, though it does have a steel frame. It is a classic example of Art Deco architecture and many experts consider it one of the most architecturally impressive buildings not just in Manhattan but in the world.

Many multinational companies have called the Chrysler Building home. In fact, Texaco once occupied 14 of its floors, one of which was a world-class restaurant with unique amenities like a barber shop and locker rooms. Its recent environmentally friendly renovations have earned it a LEED certification for Existing Buildings. The 360-degree views from most floors offer a glimpse of not only Manhattan but also the other boroughs and even New Jersey. There's direct access to Grand Central Station, as well as other public transportation options, and it is staffed with security 24 hours a day.
