Property taxes are determined at local levels, being used for paying services such as schools, hospitals, colleges and others. In Texas, taxable property includes two basic types of property: real property and business personal property.

The Henderson Central Appraisal District determines the appraised values, also known as real market values and business personal property within Henderson County.
