A 339 acre development site on Route 9 in Hyde Park, located just across from the Culinary Institute of America, is scheduled for auction October 20th. The lien amount is a whopping $7,912,981, a record high this year in Dutchess County.
The land was sold by Dutchess County in 2007 for $2,750,000 and, according to a press release issued by the County at the time of sale, the developers had planned to build a pedestrian-oriented village, dubbed St. Andrews at Historic Hyde Park. The cost of the project was projected at $365,000,000 and it would have included a retail, residential, and office mix.
