Industrious will take over 22,275 square feet of Los Angeles office space at 444 South Flower Street, known as the Citigroup Center. The coworking firm entered a partnership with the owner, Coretrust Capital Partners. Following this deal, Industrious will have two locations in DTLA and six in LA county.
Conveniently located in the heart of LA’s Financial District, the Citigroup Center is a 900,000-square-foot, LEED Gold Certified office tower. Industrious will take the entire 13th floor in the 48-story building. The new location will be known as Industrious Bunker Hill and will feature traditional coworking space, as well as private offices for teams with up to 20 members. It is expected to open this spring.
Coretrust purchased the property for $336 million in 2016. Tenants in the building include Citigroup, A.C. Martin, and Morgan Stanley.
“Industrious is the ideal coworking group to be part of our transformation of 444 South Flower into a vibrant and collaborative working environment for all generations of office users,” Spike Whitney, Vice President at Coretrust, said in a statement for the Commercial Observer.
Industrious has another Downtown location nearby, at 600 Wilshire Boulevard. Last year, the coworking company partnered with EQ Office to manage a 140,000-square-foot modern workplace campus at Playa Vista, previously known as the Howard Hughes Center. In November, it signed a lease for 24,000 square feet at [email protected], its first Glendale location. Both locations are set to open this year.
