Industrious has signed a deal with Granite Properties for 24,000 square feet of Los Angeles office space at 500 North Brand Boulevard in Glendale. The firm plans to open a coworking spot here in June next year, taking over the entire 20th floor, as well as half of the 21st floor in the 23-story building.
The property dubbed [email protected] is a 431,835-square-foot, LEED Silver-certified, Class A office building. It is connected by an outdoor space to [email protected], a 307,384-square-foot building located at 550 North Brand Boulevard, also owned by Granite. Industrious will be joining tenants like Golden State Bank, PLC Construction and Atkinson-Baker.
The coworking company already has three locations in Los Angeles and eight in California. This deal marks its first Glendale location. In LA, Industrious partnered with EQ Office to manage 100,000 to 140,000 square feet of flexible office space at Playa District, formerly known as the Howard Hughes Center.
“Industrious is excited to partner with Granite on building our next Los Angeles location,” Katharine Lau, Senior Director of Real Estate at Industrious, told the Commercial Observer. “We chose to build our next Los Angeles location in Glendale because it’s such a growing market, with high-growth startups and companies across industries converging.”
“Our partnership with Industrious allows us to offer our existing and future customers attractive and flexible workplace options as their needs change,” said Jason Purvis, Granite Properties’ Senior Managing Director for SoCal.
