CBRE Global Investors has recently signed a lease for 32,000 square feet of Los Angeles office space at 601 South Figueroa Street. The independently operated affiliate of the CBRE Group will relocate its headquarters from City National Plaza at 515 South Flower Street to Figueroa at Wilshire by January 2019.

Moving one block away from its previous location where it occupied 40,000 square feet, the firm negotiated a 10-year deal for the 49th and 50th floors of the 52-story building at 601 South Figueroa. Owned by Brookfield, the 1-million-square-foot property boasts a LEED Gold certification and amenities such as on-site dry-cleaning services, valet parking and EV charging stations. Modern conference and fitness facilities are also being planned for it.

In 2018, Brookfield also leased parts of the building to Seyfarth Shaw and Preferred Bank. Meanwhile, existing tenants include PwC, Dentons and Harley Ellis Devereaux.

“Our goal was to find, plan and design a cutting-edge space that supports increased collaboration to further our mission to deliver outstanding results for our investor clients and the space at 601 S. Figueroa will facilitate that,” said Andrew Glanzman, COO for the Americas at CBRE Global Investors.

CBRE’s Todd Doney represented the tenant, while Marin Turney, Ian Gilbert and John Barganski acted on behalf of Brookfield. The financial details of the lease were not made public, but the Commercial Observer reports that the asking rate for Downtown Los Angeles office leases is $3.55 per square foot per month.
