Architecture and landmarks
Residential property in Morris Park is primarily made up of one- and two-family homes, though there is a wide range of architectural styles, including post-war, colonial, and rowhouses. There are a number of apartment buildings as well, though the area is just over 1/3 of a mile in total. The Bronx Military Museum, opened in honor of a World War II veteran, is located in the John Dormi & Sons Funeral Home located on Morris Park Avenue. Initially a place for the medals and war memorabilia of a single soldier, today there are pieces from veterans all over the neighborhood and even the state. In 1982, the Morris Park High School Historical District was designated and, as the name implies, includes an historic high school along with related buildings.
Transport
Compared to other neighborhoods in the Bronx, Morris Park is not quite as accessible but it does have a number of options including the 2 and 5 trains of the New York Subway and half a dozen bus options, including both local and express.
Schools
There are several Catholic schools within Morris Park, including St. Francis Xavier School and St. Clare of Assisi School, as well as public school PS 108. There's also a high school Herbert H. Lehman High School which, though not technically inside Morris Park, is just outside the bounds of the neighborhood.
Health
There are several hospitals and medical schools within this neighborhood, including the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, the Jack D. Weiler Hospital (a division of Montefiore Medical School), Calvary Hospital, Bronx Psychiatric Center, and Jacobi Medical Center.

There are a host of locally owned and operated stores within the neighborhood, most of which are on Morris Park Avenue with a few more on Williamsbridge Road. Options include Forever More, a unique dress shop, Morris Park Collectibles, with antiques, jewelry, vinyl, and more, and sports equipment at Side Street Inc.
The New York Public Library has a branch in Morris Park, and there are a number of parks in the area as well. The most well-known is likely Loreto Park, which underwent an impressive renovation in 2012 and now has a toddler's play area, wheelchair accessible equipment, game tables, and a roller hockey rink.
