Miami housing prices show signs of stability

With 29,957 residential sales, Miami Dade saw a 9% decrease in 2011 compared to 2010 and a 14% decrease from 2009.

Despite the decrease in the transaction volume, the median sale price was 9% higher in 2011 ($145,500) compared to 2010 ($134,000). Single-family homes were sold at a median price of $154,000 while apartment sales closed at a median price of $139.313.


One of the priciest homes sold in 2011 is the waterfront mansion at 1736 W. 28th Street that goes by the name Villa Tranquilla. The property, originally listed for $29M, belonged to George Lindeman Jr. and was sold in July 2011 for $19.8M.
